Veterinarian Overview
Just like most veterinarians, as a child, Dr. Telles decided that she wanted to heal all the sick animals. As an adult, she realized what she really wanted to do was not only heal the sick, but to keep them healthy and help them live a long, happy life. Dr. Telles understands the impact that the human-animal bond has on our lives and truly believes that our lives are enriched by our family pets.As a young adult, Dr. Telles moved every few years in support of her husbands military service in the United States Air Force and, as a consequence, had to put her dream of becoming a veterinarian on hold. During this time, she and her husband raised their daughter and son. In 1997, the opportunity to pursue her dream presented itself and so the journey began. Dr. Telles received her Bachelor of Science degree at Cal Poly Pomona and her doctorate at Western University of Health Sciences.With a thirst for knowledge and to continually enhance her professional abilities, Dr. Telles loves to attend as much continuing education that time will allow. This also keeps her apprised of the new innovations and changes in veterinary medicine.After being an associate veterinarian for several years, Dr. Telles knew it was time to open her own pet hospital, where she could devote the time to her patients and their pet parents that they deserve.Today, Dr. Telles makes a home with her husband, Mike, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever named Levi and a three-legged bearded dragon named Trinity. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her three grandchildren, camping, and reading.
