Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Worfel originally hails from Michigan where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University. He moved to California seven years later and settled in Escondido where he and his wife, Roxanne owned and operated Walker Veterinary Hospital for eighteen years. He presently lives there with Roxanne, their two dogs, Ivy and Rickie, their two cats, Dharma and Phoebe and seven Koi fish. Dr. Worfel has worked in the Temecula Valley area for the last twenty years and has previously practiced at Valley Veterinary Clinic for eighteen of those years. His primary interests are in surgery, both soft tissue and orthopedic and he regularly attends continuing education classes to update those areas of interest. During his free time he enjoys bicycling and bowling, and in the winter skiing is the preferred distraction.
