Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Charles Timpone is a long Island native having grown up in Baldwin and Mattituck. He attended Cornell University and received his bachelors degree in microbiology and immunology. Dr. Timpone continued his education and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his D.V.M. degree with honors in 1986. Dr. Timpone returned to Long Island and was an associate veterinarian at the Aquebogue Veterinary Hospital. In 1994 he co-founded the Mattituck- Laurel Veterinary Hospital and provided the North Fork with a state of the art animal hospital that continues to serve the local community with superior animal care. Dr. Timpones veterinary interests are many but he particularly enjoys the challenges of small animal surgery and internal medicine. Dr. Timpone is a big advocate of our Local Animal Shelters and Rescue Groups. He has been on the Board of Directors at Kent Animal Shelter for over 25 years and has held the position of President for the last ten years. His leisure activities include sailing and cooking. He enjoys his family time especially playing with his grandchildren. His three dogs keep him busy as well.
