Veterinarian Overview
Chris A. Hunt, BVSc, DACVS, was born in Sydney, Australia and graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney in 1976. Following graduation, he moved to the United States and spent two years in general practice. Dr. Hunt was the director of the Trauma Emergency Service at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine teaching hospital from 1978 until 1980. He began his surgical training in 1980 with a residency in small animal surgery at Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Canada. He continued his surgical training at a specialty hospital in South Weymouth, Massachusetts from 1982 until 1988, when he relocated to New Jersey and later joined the Surgical Department at AERA. He became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1990, and is trained and experienced in all fields of veterinary surgery. Dr. Hunt has lectured at veterinary meetings and conferences and has authored a number of scientific articles and papers in prestigious journals.
