Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Julie Merkt joined the staff of our Wellness Clinic in 2017. She earned her VMD at the University of Pennsylvania where she was Vice President of the Special Species Club and completed the VBMA Business Certificate. She holds a Masters of Laboratory Animal Science from Drexel University and a BS in Biology from Ursinus College. Dr. Merkt sees our hospitals extensive exotics caseload including birds, reptiles and pocket pets such as rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs. Her personal interests include archery and exploring cooking and baking techniques.
