Veterinarian Overview
A Lincoln County, Mo. native, Dr. Amberle Wright has been involved in veterinary medicine her entire life. "My father is a veterinarian," she explains. "All sorts of pets were part of my life growing up, including pot belly pigs, parrots, prairie dogs, dogs, cats, horses, and donkeys. I have always wanted to become a vet since I was a little girl watching my dad help animals." Dr. Wright attended the University of Missouri - Columbia, and was accepted early by the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. While there, she was president of the Pre-Vet Club. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Dr. Wright is a member of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, the Greater St. Louis Area Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Her professional interests include surgery, preventive medicine, and canine reproduction. Prior to opening Bryan Road Animal Hospital, Dr. Wright spent four years as an associate at a six-veterinarian practice. When not at the hospital, she enjoys do-it-yourself and craft projects around the house and spending time outdoors with her two chihuahuas, Sharky and Guppy. Dr. Wright also has a cockatiel named Kiki and a Senegal parrot named Bogart.
