Veterinarian Overview
Dcotor Mary Stauder joined the Manchester West family in 2004. She grew up in University City the youngest of five children. It was always her ambition to become a veterinarian and she graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Originally Doctor Stauder had planned on being a zoo and wildlife vet, but came to love the humane animal bond found with our family pets and her passion shifted to caring for the animals that enrich our lives. At Manchester West that passion includes dogs, cats, rabbits, and pocket pets. Dr Stauder's many years of practice have honed her skills in multiple areas including dentistry and orthopedic surgery. With her husband Tom and stepson Thomas, Doctor Stauder settled into Wildwood over 20 years ago. Since that time they have built a menagerie of pets that currently includes Stitch the dog, Turtle the tortoise, Octavia the rabbit, along with a couple of water turtles, an elderly Bearded Dragon, an Armadillo lizard, a fat tailed Gecko, and assorted fish. Doctor Stauder enjoys watching the deer playing in the yard from her deck, which has taken gardening way down her list of fun activities. Instead the Stauders enjoy biking, lazy kayaking, and traveling.
