Veterinarian Overview
Dr. McLaughlin founded Heritage Veterinary Services in 1974 and sold it after 29 years to Dr. Sanford in 2003. It has since been renamed Heritage Veterinary Hospital and moved to its present location. Dr. McLaughlin continues to work in the veterinary field because of the challenges of the profession, his love for the animals, his mutually supportive fellow co-workers, and most of all the owners of the pets we are privileged to care for! Dr. McLaughlin is a 1962 Kansas State University graduate and has been married for 55 years to his wife, Sue. He has two children, Lynn Weinberg and Scott McLaughlin, as well as three granddaughters and one grandson who happened to be born on Dr. McLaughlins 75th birthday. Dr. McLaughlin has been averaging 34 hours annually in his certified Continuing Education, plus he completes many hours of personal study, and his hobby is digital photography.
