Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Gina Holen is the newest addition to our professional staff. Dr. Holen grew up in Everest, Kansas and graduated from Horton High School. While at Horton High, she graduated class valedictorian and was president of the National Honor Society. From Horton High, she attended two years at Sterling College. She attended Sterling on a NAIA Athletic scholarship in track and cross country. Her course of study there was General Science. Dr. Holen earned her B.S. in Psychology in 2008 from Kansas State University. She completed an additional two years in coursework and labs in chemistry, biology and physics. In May 2015, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri (Columbia). Her elective courses were in small animal nutrition, emergency/critical care, small animal internal medicine, theriogenology, and cardiology. She was inducted into Phi Zeta, the honor society of veterinary medicine. Dr. Holen and her husband, Ryan moved to Coffeyville in May with their 6 dogs, 1 cat and chickens. Dr. Holen has been an active member of our staff since that time.
