Veterinarian Overview
Dr. B. Skrainka has practiced veterinary medicine at Webster Groves Animal Hospital and Urgent Care Center since July 2016. She is originally from St. Louis, MO, and graduated from nearby Parkway South High School. Dr. Skrainka earned her bachelor's degree in zoology from Miami University (Oxford, OH) in 2010. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She was a clinical student at the University of Illinois. A member of the American Veterinary Medicine Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society , Dr. Skrainka's professional interests include urgent care, geriatrics and hospice. She is also a parish member at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church. At home, Dr. Skrainka has a five-year-old "coconut retriever" rescue named Evee that she rescued from the streets of St. Kitts during veterinary school. In her free time, Dr. Skrainka enjoys figure skating, watching hockey, spending time with her large extended family, cooking and volunteering.
