Dr. Karen Brophy has been a general veterinary practitioner for 20 years. She spent her childhood and most of her adult life living in Alaska. She moved to the warmer climate zone of Arizona in 2010. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Genetics from the University of California at Davis and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1994 from Colorado State University. She co-owned and managed Alaska Pet Care Veterinary Hospital and Boarding Lodge in Anchorage, Alaska before moving to Arizona and joining the team at Animal Medical and Surgical Center. Having the combined experience of being a general veterinary practitioner, manager and business owner she strives to provide excellent veterinary care for pets with excellent client service to their humans. Her special interests are preventive health care, internal medicine, feline medicine and ultrasound imaging. Her personal interests include traveling, SCUBA diving, real estate investing, and spending time with her family and pets.
