Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Winter grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Hendrix College in 1986 and Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. He first joined the staff at Treasure Hill Pet Hospital in 1982 as an 18-year old Animal Caretaker and then returned after earning his veterinary degree. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (canine/feline), a post-graduate specialty board for general practitioners.Dr. Winter enjoys internal medicine and soft-tissue surgery cases, but especially likes getting to know families and their pets. He also enjoys golfing, fishing, and vacations with his family. He and Angela have been married over thirty years and have a daughter in medical school at UAMS and a son studying biochemistry at the University of Virginia on a Jefferson Scholarship. They are currently cat-less but have a sweet little lab mix named Lexie that they adopted from the Humane Society.
