Veterinarian Overview
An East Coast native, Dr. Keon graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986 and in the same year began training as a pilot. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Keon taught at various high schools, community colleges and universities, including Michigan State University, Notre Dame, and Indiana University in South Bend, Indiana. She managed a herd of steer on a five acre farm in Missouri and showed/bred Old English Sheepdogs and credits these experiences with sparking her interest in animals and veterinary medicine. After completing her veterinary degree, Dr. Keon returned to the East Coast settling in Pennsylvania and completing her pilot's license. She began work as a veterinarian at Steinbach Veterinary Hospital, where she practiced for two years. She then worked at Trevose Veterinary Clinic for two years before moving to Florida to practice for a year. In 1991 Dr. Keon moved back to Pennsylvania and established Animal Hospital of Warwick. Her veterinary interests include medicine and surgery of dogs, cats and small mammal exotics as well as behavioral management and intervention. Outside of her veterinary practice, Dr. Keon spends her time flying planes with her husband (who is also a pilot) as well as swimming, reading, attending auctions and searching out and collecting antiques. She presently has a cat named Gracie and a frisky little Corgi named Guy Noir!
