Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Toolan graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 and after completing a Small Animal Internship at the University of Saskatoon in Saskatchewan Canada in 1994, she practiced small animal medicine and surgery in Colorado for 17 years. In 2011, she relocated to New Hampshire. Her primary areas of interest are surgery, emergency medicine, acupuncture, herbal medicine and food therapy. She believes in a balance between Western and Eastern medicine and brings a wealth of knowledge since she has had extensive training in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) as well as traditional Western Veterinary Medicine. Her practice philosophy and goal is to help each animal she treats to live as happy and healthy a life as possible for as long as possible. She thinks of her patients and clients as part of her veterinary family and treats them with respect, care and compassion. When not at work, she enjoys treating horses with acupuncture/herbal medicine, spending time with her two cats, reading, knitting, ballroom dancing, and many outdoor activities.
