Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Abby Obermiller was born and raised on a cow calf ranch in central Nebraska where she developed a love for animals at an early age. While growing up she was active showing horses and cattle. In 2004 she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Science with a minor in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2008 she graduated with honors from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Abby then completed one year of advanced post doctoral training in equine medicine and surgery at Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Centre, a specialty referral practice in Gilbert, Arizona. For the past five years she has been practicing at a mixed animal practice in Woodland Park, ColoradoHer professional interests include complimentary medicine, lameness, rehabilitation and internal medicine. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture (CVA) by Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and in animal chiropractic by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association*. Dr. Abbys personal interests include spending time with her family including her husband Lance, their two sons Ian and Sterling, dog Milo, cat Simon the Siamese and horses Kat and Bridgeman. She also enjoys spending time with her eight nephews and niece, riding horses, reading, and hiking.
