Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sandy Angus grew up in St. Louis. She joined My Best Friend Veterinary Center in 2001 after receiving her DVM from the University of Missouri in Columbia, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sandy was recently listed as one of the top 100 veterinarians voted by St. Louis Magazine as part of the Five Star project. Prior to her career in veterinary medicine, she spent eleven years on the human side of health, working as an ER nurse at Incarnate Word Hospital. This unique combination of medical experiences has provided Dr. Sandy the opportunity to be an excellent clinician, and to excel in personal care and compassion for your four legged friends and your family.During her time off, Dr. Sandy enjoys pursuing her love of the outdoors, martial arts and pushing her own limits on physical athletic training. You might find Dr. Sandy canoeing down one of our rivers in Missouri, doing cross training for a mountaineering adventure with her life partner Eve, working out in martial arts, or perhaps dancing. She thrives and is nourished by all activities outdoors and being active with her dogs.
