Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Peterson was born and raised in Peoria, attended Woodruff High School and then graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1989. He went on to graduate from the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. From there, he moved to the Chicago area and practiced for 3 years in several large veterinary hospitals before returning to his hometown. In 1996 he joined Prospect Animal Clinic and has special interests in canine and feline internal medicine. He and his wife, Meggin, and two children Lydia and William reside in Dunlap, along with their 2 crazy cats, Pelita and Guapo. Dr. Peterson enjoys the outdoors, fishing and has practiced Shorei Ryu karate for over 20 years.
