Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jim Micinilio graduated in 1987 as Valedictorian of his class from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 1991. During his senior year, he completed an externship at AngellMemorialAnimalCenterinBoston,Massachusetts. After graduation Dr. Micinilio performed veterinary work at Beardsley Zoological Gardens in Bridgeport, Connecticut, as well as working for 7 years at a small animal and exotics practice in Stratford. Dr. Micinilio joined Countryside Veterinary Hospital as a full time associate in 2003 and became partner in 2005.Dr. Micinilio enjoys fishing every chance he gets, sometimes in exotic locations. He also enjoys movies, bicycling and spending time with his nephews. Dr. Micinilio is a Connecticut native residing in Stratford along with an array of turtles, lizards and snakes
