Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Liz Schwendemann joined the team at Troy-Wentzville Veterinary Clinics as a veterinarian in May 2014, but her experience with the veterinary hospital stretches back earlier. She first began to help out after school in 2004, and over the ensuing years she filled a variety of positions in the animal care field, including working in the kennel, as a receptionist, and as a veterinary technician.Now, as a member of Troy-Wentzville's team of dedicated veterinarians, Dr. Schwendemann's responsibilities include large and small animal wellness exams, emergency medicine and surgery. She performs a wide variety hands-on of services for a diverse range of pets, and that's precisely why she likes her job so much."No two days are the same here, and I love that element of being a veterinarian," Dr. Schwendemann says.Dr. Schwendemann achieved her BS in Animal Science in 2009, and completed her doctorate at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She is a member of the Missouri Veterinary Medicine Association.At home she cares for a yellow Labrador named Diesel and an American Bulldog named Zeus. In her free time, Dr. Schwendemann enjoys outdoor activities, fishing, and watching or playing baseball or soccer. She and her husband, Alex Schwendemann, are excitedly preparing for the arrival of their first child, Alexis Lynn, in May 2015!
