Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Katherine Jones was born in Washington, DC. She grew up in Sterling, VA with her younger brother, Gregg. Dr. Jones attended Virginia Tech for eight years, first earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences before attending the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She worked as an associate at a rural practice in North Carolina. Wishing to be closer to family and friends, Dr. Jones was recruited to join the team at Animal Medical Center. Outside of work, Dr. Jones enjoys traveling, cycling, cooking, and spending time with family. She has always had an interest in working dogs, especially search and rescue. Other areas of interest include sports medicine and rehabilitation. She hopes to continue her education in those fields in the next few years.
