Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lewis Michaels founded and built the Herndon-Reston Animal Hospital in 1975. A graduate of Michigan State University Veterinary School in 1969, he has a great interest in orthopedic and general soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and he is quite skilled in all areas of animal health. Dr. Michaels is a member of the major national, state and local veterinary organizations. Through his committment to excellence in the veterinary field and membership with the American Animal Hospital Association, the hospital received the AAHA 25 Year Excellence Award.
