Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Henry McKelvin is a native of Georgia, and is a 1973 graduate of the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McKelvin moved to Virginia after graduation and practiced for three years in a small animal hospital in Richmond, Va. In 1976, he became a Hampton resident and a partner in Mercury Animal Hospital, Inc., located at 2722 W. Mercury Blvd., Hampton, Va. In 1989, the construction of the new and present hospital was completed and the business moved down the street to its present location of 2500 W. Mercury Blvd. Dr. McKelvin has a special interest in small animal surgery, both general and orthopedics. Dr. McKelvin is the proud father of Chance a Golden Retriever.
