Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Beverly Silkey was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey and received her Bachelor of Science at Virginia Tech. She graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Her vocation developed as a teenager working in a small and large animal farm practice in her hometown. At Armistead Avenue Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Bev treats the external and internal medical problems of her patients and is the full time hospital manager as well.Today her Siberian cat, Robin, is the center of attention at home. After losing the devoted canine, Mosby, it is her patients that help fill her day with joy.Dr. Bev is a member of the GFWC Women's Club of Hampton Roads and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Hampton Roads. Professional organizations include the Peninsula Veterinary Associates, the Greater Peninsula Veterinary Association, the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association and nationally as a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.
