Research/Lectures/Publications: Dr. Biller is a consultant/relief oncologist at VCA SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Center. She spends most of her time working as an Associate Professor of Oncology at the Flint Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University where she sees cancer patients at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, oversees a research laboratory, teaches veterinary and graduate students and serves as a lecturer for local and national veterinary societies. She is an author of numerous scholarly articles and book chapters on tumor immunology and cancer in companion animals. Pets: Tag, a 2015-model Border collie who would rather herd sheep than eat breakfast or dinner. Delta (aka “Smalls”) a Border collie who was brought to CSU by a rescue group due to a tarsal fracture when she was about 9 months old in 2010. She’s all better now and is currently helping Tag and Barb herd sheep on their 5 acre farm in Colorado. Lucy, a 2006-model chocolate Labrador retriever - who is super patient with the Border collies and is an excellent hunting dog. Kitty, an orange and white cat adopted from the local humane society in 2002. She runs the farm and rules the dogs. Assorted chickens and sheep Personal Facts: Barb grew up primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area but then had to buy much warmer clothing when she went to vet school in Wisconsin. She loves to spend time with her husband of 20+ years and their college-age son and enjoys training for triathlons, camping, and herding sheep with the Border collies. Member of the VCA SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Center team since September 2013.
