Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ivan F. Metzger is a 1979 graduate of the University of Georgia. He has practiced small animal medicine in Northern Virginia since graduation over 30 years ago. Dr. Metzger also holds licenses in Maryland and Georgia. Dr. Metzger has been married for over 30 years and has 2 grown children. Accomplishments: Tenure as President of the District of Columbia Academy of Veterinary Medicine Selected in 2006 as one of "America's Top Veterinarians” Several Service Awards Certificates for Extensive Post-Graduate Continuing Education Member of the AVMA, VVMA, and NVVMA. Anne Ricketts is the leader of the staff. She is the hospital manager and the go-to person for most of the needs and/or issues in the daily operation of the hospital. Anne has over 20 years experience in the field as well as a lifetime of caring for her own pets. She is a very warm, friendly, and caring person to assist clients with their needs. Most clients feel that they have been treated as family and many have appreciated how much Anne goes above and beyond in her efforts to help with not only Veterinary issues but personal as well. Kerry, Joshua, Jake, Meredith, Mihika and Karina comprise the remainder of the staff. Kerry worked for a feline veterinary practice for a number of years before joining our family and also brings many years of experience to our hospital team.
