Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Geri Carlson graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She then completed an internship at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital in California, and stayed in that area until moving to Charlottesville in 2008. In her career she has worked in small animal clinics as an associate and as a relief veterinarian. She also worked for 5 years at the Veterinary Tumor Institute in Santa Cruz, where she oversaw radiation therapy treatments for veterinary cancer patients. She loves the variety of general medicine, with a special interest in geriatrics and feline medicine. She lives in Barboursville with her husband Chip, a nurse practitioner, and their 2 dogs Savvy and Ruby, and cat Cinderella. She is very active in local theater and dance, teaching tap and jazz dance one day a week, and serving on the board of directors as well as performing, directing, and choreographing with Four County Players
