Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Nath joined CAC in November, 2015 and has hit the ground running! She is originally from Troy, MI and has wanted to be a veterinarian since a very young age. She grew up with a variety of different animals, such as parakeets, cats, dogs, fish, turtles, hamsters and guinea pigs! She obtained her BS degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and then attended Tuskegee University's School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her DVM in 2009. Following graduation she worked at the Michigan Humane Society in Detroit before relocating to the Northern VA area. She attended the Chi Institute in Gainesville, FL to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2014. She also has completed the coursework for certification in Tui Na massage therapy. Dr. Nath believes that optimal clinical results are achieved through the integration of multiple medical traditions. Her main interests in veterinary medicine include Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Dentistry and Pain Management.Dr. Nath lives in Falls Church, VA with her husband, daughter and Siberian Husky mix, Lily. She also enjoys making homemade dog treats, traveling and reading (Harry Potter Fanatic! Her dog is named after Harry Potter's mom) and visiting her family and friends.
