Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Desiree Thomas was born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. She did her undergraduate studies at James Madison University, and her doctorate of veterinary medicine at University of Pennsylvania. After working as a small animal veterinarian in Baltimore for 5 years, Dr. Thomas moved to south western VA, where she has been employed with Town and Country Veterinary Clinic since 2001.
She has interests in feline behavioral disorders, canine anxiety and dentistry. She has received additional continuing education in both these areas.
Her hobbies include different types of dance, including contra, swing, and country waltz, as well as movies, and riding her motorcycle. She resides in Blacksburg with her 2 cats.
