Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Heather Boyter has always been passionate about animals. At the age of ten she decided that she was going to be a veterinarian and an exciting adventure began. She received her BS degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Southern Utah University in 2008, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Dr. Boyter enjoys all aspects of practicing veterinary medicine. Her favorite areas are challenging internal medicine cases, soft tissue surgery and dentistry; but her favorite part of veterinary medicine is getting to know so many different people and sharing in the special bond they have with their pets. Originally from Cedar City, she has enjoyed being on staff at Washington Family Veterinary Clinic and returning home to practice in beautiful, sunny Southern Utah. Keeping busy is not a problem with Mortie, a rescued Schnauzer mix, Oakley, a Brittany, and a rescued cat, Kit-Kat. When not at the clinic, she enjoys trapshooting, gardening and enjoying the outdoors.
