Veterinarian Overview
I am an Arizona native, growing up in Gilbert where my parents still reside. I have an older sister who is a pediatric dietician and a younger sister who is a third grade teacher. I knew from four years of age that I wanted to be a veterinarian and was extremely committed to achieving that goal ever since. Due to dog and cat allergies in my family, my pets were initially limited to the scaly variety, including spade-foot toads, a leopard gecko, hermit crabs, and fish before adopting my first furry creature, a guinea pig named Patches for my eleventh birthday. My initial limitation in pet possibilities inspired my interest in exotic animal medicine and my subsequent veterinary technician work at a local exotics limited clinic throughout high school and during my undergraduate career at the University of Arizona. After graduating with a bachelors degree in Veterinary Science from U of A (Go Wildcats!), I attended veterinary school at Colorado State University. Upon graduation, I moved back to Arizona to begin my career as a veterinarian at University Animal Hospital. I am thankful every day to be a part of such a wonderful profession and animal hospital where I get to interact with both amazing pets and their owners. On my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, hiking with my pups, and spending time with family and friends
