Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shams finished his post-doctoral training at the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences, University of Nebraska-Lincoln in June 1999 and moved to Tyler in July 1999. He has been working as a Faculty member since 2001 and practicing veterinary medicine at the East Texas Pet Emergency Clinic in Longview (2007-2012), Tyler Emergency Clinic (2012-2013) and Banfield Pet Hospital in Tyler (2013-2015). Dr. Shams has special interest in vaccines and immunology and has several publications in peer reviewed prestigious journals.
