Veterinarian Overview
Since she was young, Dr. Samantha Hauke has held a deep-seated love for animals, and a strong desire to make them feel better when theyre unwell. She comes to our practice with lots of experience, compassion, and a sunny disposition that draws our four-legged clients to her. She loves how kind everyone is at our practice, and is proud to be part of an experienced and approachable staff. Dr. Hauke received her veterinary education from Colorado State University, and shes a member of the American College of Veterinary Radiology and the American Veterinary Association. She has an interest in pet dentistry and diagnostic imaging, and is always pursuing continuing education to stay current with veterinary trends. Dr. Haukes favorite parts about being a veterinarian are: having the ability to help animals that cannot tell you where they hurt, the love of veterinary medicine itself, and being invited into an intimate experience between pet owners and an animal who means the world to them. She puts her education to good use at our practice, and has done so in other parts of the world. She spent over two months providing services at a baboon sanctuary and rehabilitation center in Phalaborwa South Africa, where she happily cuddled with baby baboons every day. Dr. Hauke loves to be active with her husband, Luke. Shes an avid triathlete, and she loves skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, ice climbing, running, and horseback riding. Dr. Hauke not only holds the title of doctor, she also claimed the title of the Northwest Skijoring National Champion in the womens division for 2003, 2004, and 2009. Dr. Haukes calmer hobbies include knitting and reading. Shes also the proud parent of a Sphinx cat named Eligh, and an African grey parrot named Noel.
