Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Erin C Floyd grew up in Sugar Land, Texas and has been a part of the Sugar Land Pet Hospital family for the past 11 years. She started out as a kennel assistant in 2004, and over the next several years worked her worked her way up to veterinary assistant. Dr. Floyd graduated from Kempner High School in 2006, and graduated from Texas A&M with her Bachelor of Science degree in 2009. She went on to attend veterinary school at Texas A&M, and graduated from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2013. Dr. Floyd rejoined the SLPH family as an associate veterinarian in June 2013. She has a particular interest in feline medicine, neurology, and endocrinology. Dr. Floyd and her newlywed husband live in Richmond, TX with their three dogs and four cats. She enjoys painting, reading, and yoga. Dr. Floyd attributes the fulfillment of her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian to the dedicated mentorship and guidance provided by Dr. Doug Hendrix, and is passionate about providing similar mentorship opportunities to students interested in veterinary medicine.
