Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ximena Vierra originally hails from Hawaii and is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. An energetic mother of four, she has had the pleasure of calling San Antonio "home" since 2007. Although Dr. Vierra has a warm heart for all small animals, she is especially fond of exotic pets including rabbits, ferrets and small rodents. Her fresh approach to animal care has been a great benefit to our staff and our patients. With so many variables involved in veterinary medicine, Dr. Vierra loves the challenges of her practice. When asked "why" she became a vet, she said, "It was just meant to be! Being the youngest of the family, I always had the job of taking care of the dog, the cat, chickens, duck and goat." ...and so the seed was planted early! She is a member of the AVMA and the South Texas committee of United States Masters Swimming organization. Dr. Vierra is a driven individual who's compassion for her patients and expertise in medicine will make her your family's "other" doctor.
