Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Dumas joined our Practice in September 2013. She grew up in Tinton Falls, New Jersey where she developed a passion for helping pets through many years of volunteering at a small animal practice. She attended Prairie View A & M University, just north of Houston, for undergraduate studies and received a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She continued her studies at Auburn University College of Veteirnary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1998. Dr. Dumas has worked in small animal private practice and in emergency medicine for 10 years in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2007 she married her husband Reginald, a native Texan. They relocated to San Antonio in 2008 inspired by the desire to raise their two children, Raelyn (5) and R'Jalen (4) closer to extended family. Her fur babies consist of a toy Poodle, Remington, a Dashshund/Chihuahua mix, Averie and two cats Jo Jo and Josie. Her interests in Veterinary Medicine include pediatric medicine, soft tissue surgery, and behavior modification and assistance. Her hobbies include journaling, writing, baking and of course her children
