Veterinarian Overview
A California native, Dr. Weston has been in San Antonio since July 2013. She obtained a BS in Animal Science from Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, California before attending the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine (the bicycle capital of California). There she focused on the treatment and care for small animal, zoological and exotic species. Furry, feathered or scaled, Dr. Weston loves working with all species of animals and has a particular interest in exotics, and emergency and critical care. Having 3 black and white cats; Minew -13 yr old, Mia- 8 yrs old, and Keyser Soze- 6 yr old, Dr. Weston also has a 6 foot long Red Tail Boa Constrictor named Rooi who is 4 years old.Prior to starting veterinary school Dr. Weston participated in volunteer work in Namibia and South Africa to promote conservation of African wildlife. There she worked with a variety of dangerous species including cheetahs, lions, leopards, baboons, great white sharks, as well as an unruly British man, Gary, whom she later imported into the U.S. and adopted as her husband. Dr. Weston is a member of the AVMA, TVMA, and CVMA. And on the rare occasion of free time, she enjoys scuba diving, martial arts, soccer, spending quality time with her pets and listening to her handsome husbands amazing accent!
