Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Cooper is a board-certified small animal neurologist, partner and Hospital Director at MissionVet Specialty & Emergency. She is a second generation veterinarian and graduated with her DVM from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at the University of Missouri, followed by a three-year Neurology/Neurosurgery residency at Texas A&M in 2012. Dr. Cooper was awarded the neurosurgery certificate in 2013. Dr. Cooper enjoys the surgical management of intervertebral disk disease as well as spinal malformations. She also has a passion for the treatment of inflammatory disease and seizure disorders. She has been part of MissionVet since its inception and continues to work toward staff development, expansion of services provided and community outreach. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, travel adventures and cooking.
