Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Bowman and her family recently moved to San Antonio from Colorado. Dr. Bowman grew up on a farm in southwest Iowa where her family raised an assortment of animals. She graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Oregon State University in 2001. She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2013 she completed her Masters in Public Health through the University of Iowa. For the past five years she has worked as an associate veterinarian in a small animal/equine clinic in the mountains of Colorado. Dr. Bowman enjoys practicing small animal medicine, especially focusing on preventative care and education. She also enjoys soft tissue surgery and dental care. In her off time she is busy spending time with her family, traveling, and volunteering. She and her husband, Dave, have four children; Layney, Evan, and Sydney, and Alec. They also share their home with their dog Oreo, a lab mix, plus two cats, Worm and Avoca. They are all enjoying the warmer weather and exploring the San Antonio area.
