The hospital was renamed SharpCare Animal Hospital in 1994 and Animal Hospital of Westover Hills in 08 when relocated to its current address. Dr. Sharp's background in both general medicine and critical care makes him well qualified to handle his patients' routine and emergency medical needs. Dr. Sharp has excellent surgical skills in both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, and has performed thousands of elective sterilization procedures (spays and neuters). As an advocate for reducing the pet over population problem, and the subsequent unnecessary euthanasia of thousands of dogs and cats in San Antonio, Dr. Sharp is a strong believer in early spaying and neuter programs.
