Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Amber Nava was born and raised in El Paso, TX. She is the youngest of four children, and her home was always a place where cats were loved and adored. Taking care of animals and pursuing her dream to become a veterinarian was always encouraged. Her first cat was named C.C., which was short for Crazy Cat. The relationship she had with her ignited her love for all cats. Dr. Nava attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate education and graduated with a Biomedical Sciences and Entomology degree in 2013. She is a devoted Aggie and proud to be a part of the Aggie family. She continued her education at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine beginning the fall of 2014. She graduated in May of 2018. Throughout veterinary school Dr. Nava's affinity for cats only grew. She joined the Student Association of American Feline Practitioners to pursue her interest in feline medicine even further. She has two cats named Kini and Nibbler, and they are just everything to her. She adopted both of them during her time in veterinary school, and they have brought so much joy to her life. However, every cat is so unique and special that they deserve the love she gives to Kini and Nibbler. Dr. Nava is excited to be a part of the Alamo Feline Health Center, a place that honors that uniqueness and creates a truly feline friendly environment. She looks forward to being part of your cat's special care team.
