Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Hany Azer grew up in Elminia, Egypt. He was always around animals, and his childhood pet was a black and white cat named Rosie. Dr. Azer would play veterinarian with Rosie. This paired with constant encouragement from his parents, made him realize that veterinary medicine was his true passion. His journey to become a veterinarian began after he graduated from Assiut University of Egypt. He volunteered at Brown Trail Animal Hospital in Bedford, Texas. After this, he attended the Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine and began his clinical rotations in 2010. After working for another local hospital for two years, he decided to open his own practice in Mansfield. Dr. Azer's very own pet hospital, St. Mina Animal Hospital officially opened in 2013. One of Dr. Azers favorite things about veterinary medicine is helping to rehabilitate a sick or injured animal back to full health. He believes in the importance of preventative medicine and he loves educating others about the importance of wellness care.
