Veterinarian Overview
I was born and raised in Lubbock, TX. My love for animals started early as I had an inseparable bond with my familys miniature schnauzer, Rowdy. It was in the first grade that I told my parents there was no better feeling in the world than saving a dogs life. I attended Lubbock Christian School from pre-kindergarten through my senior year of high school. While there I participated in all sorts of sports, academic competitions, and band. Upon graduating high school in 2008, I attended Lubbock Christian University. It was then that I began working in a vet clinic as a veterinary assistant, and my love for this field began to blossom. I graduated from LCU in 2012 with a Bachelors in Animal Science. I was accepted into veterinary school at Texas A&M and received my DVM in 2016. I joined the team at Above & Beyond in June 2016. The progressive nature and high standard of care is what drove me to join this clinic. I love the time I get to spend developing relationships with clients and their pets. I am especially interested in surgery but also enjoy preventative medicine, dermatology, and ophthalmology. I met my husband, Jeffrey, while in vet school. We got married in July of 2014. He is currently a mixed animal veterinarian at Spur Veterinary Hospital. We have two border collie mixes, Grace and Hattie, as well as a quarter horse. Outside of work, I love to participate in and watch sports. I am an avid runner and love competing in road races. Jeffrey and I have developed a passion for going on mission trips and helping those in need. Most recently we went on a veterinary mission trip to Honduras. In our spare time we enjoy spending as much time as possible with our family and friends. We are thrilled to be back in Lubbock and thankful for the opportunity to serve the community we love.
