Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Weir grew up in Mesquite, Texas before completing her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in College Station. She continued her career as an Aggie and received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. After graduation, she moved with her husband to Louisiana where she spent 2 years working in small animal general practice and emergency. Eager to get back to Texas, she started working at CVSEC in 2018 as an emergency doctor. Her professional interests include cardiology, portosystemic shunts, feline medicine, and emergency medicine and critical care. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two fur babies, Jenny the mixed breed hound, and Odin the one-eye cat. She enjoys traveling, learning to cook, live music, symphonies, and exploring national parks.
