Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Benton graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Throughout her career, she has been employed by several clinics in Waco, Houston, and Dallas-Fort Worth, where she currently works part-time at different clinics within the DFW area. On Fridays, she enjoys seeing appointments at Mayfair Village Animal Hospital, where she has worked since 2006. Her professional interests include educating new puppy/kitten owners in methods for their new pets to become good companions, as well as effectively communicating with owners about what is happening with their pets. When not working, Dr. Benton greatly enjoys her family -- husband Matt, sons Zachariah, Nate, and Garrick, as well as her canine companion Duncan and her feline friend Jasmine. She and her husband have been homeschooling Zachariah and Nate, which has proven to be an exciting and educational experience for all members of the family. Dr. Benton and her family enjoy Bible studies, camping, bicycling, fishing, exploring, reading, sports, and generally getting dirty.
