Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Funk joined the TLC team in early 2018. Her family relocated to the Clear Lake area 40 years ago with NASA. Dr. Funk received a degree in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry & Mathematics from the University of Houston Clear Lake in 1982. After teaching public school for 6 years and working on her Masters in Education, Dr. Funk received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from TAMU in 1995. Her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are emergency and internal medicine- she loves a good challenge and loves learning new things every day! In her free time she enjoys training and showing reining horses, photography, playing with and training her furbabies, playing online games with her international friends and reading. Her furry family includes her 3 dogs (Dusca, Maggie & Ruff), a gray tabby cat named Chance. Dr. Kuecker and Dr. Richardson practiced together for 4 years at another clinic prior to opening TLC Animal Hospital in 1996. In 2001 they expanded and opened the Bed & Biscuit to better accommodate their patients in need and to provide boarding services for the Clear Lake community.
