Veterinarian Overview
Dr Elizabeth Rowlands graduated with her undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania. She worked in television before deciding to pursue her life long ambition of becoming a veterinarian. She attended Texas A&M University Veterinarian School where she earned her DVM in 2004. Dr. Rowlands has a special interest in pediatrics and feline medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. In 2007, she served as a study investigator for the FDA drug approval of Felimazole, a drug formulated to treat feline thyroid disease. In her spare time, Dr. Rowlands loves spending time outdoors. She enjoys such activities as taking her dogs to the park, cycling and various other outdoor activitie. She also enjoys traveling, she recently attended a veterinarian conference in England and then toured several other countries in Europe. Dr. Rowlands is currently enjoying spending time with the newest edition to her family, a daughter born in February 2014.
