Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Amanda Shotts received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2013 from Texas A&M University. That same year she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine, surgery, and emergency at North Houston Veterinary Specialists. After completion of her internship, Dr. Shotts started working in general practice and emergency medicine. Dr. Shotts joined the Gulf Coast Animal Emergency team in October 2014. Dr. Shotts has a special interest in managing patients with cardiopulmonary disease, toxicities, and complex medical conditions. She also enjoys spending time with her husband (also a veterinarian) and her own pets. Together they have 2 dogs, 3 cats, bearded dragons, geckos, fish, and a pet tarantula.
