Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lowenstein was not born in Texas, but she got here as fast as she could! She graduated from Bellaire High School, received her BS in Wildlife Science from Texas A&M University, and is a 1989 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lowenstein joined the staff of Braescroft Animal Clinic in August, 2005, after years of practicing in the Houston area. Dr. Lowenstein has a special interest in exotic pet medicine such as birds, reptiles and pocket pets. Her philosophy is one of client education and participation, understanding that each family-pet bond is different, and striving to make sure that each pets individual needs are met. She is a member of the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the America Veterinary Medical Association. When she is not at the clinic, she is a wife, mother of three, volunteer in various groups, and caretaker of the familys pets, which currently includes dogs, cats, turtles, guinea pigs, and hamsters.
