Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kelly is a small animal practitioner; she grew up in Allen, TX, and is the youngest of 3 siblings. In high school she was an avid member of the FFA. Through the FFA, she participated in leadership programs, horse judging and showed lambs. It was the FFA that brought her to Tarleton State University for horse judging. She was so taken with the campus that she returned for her undergraduate degree. She received a Bachelors of Science from Tarleton State University in 2004, and was the distinguished graduate (highest GPA) from the Animal Science Department. While attending Tarleton and living in the Cowboy Capital she became involved in rodeo and barrel racing. There she met her husband, Lance Kelly, a rough stock rider from Queensland, Australia. They were married in 2005, and made the journey together to College Station, TX were Kallie attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. WHOOP! While attending veterinary school, Kallie worked for the Texas A&M Anatomy Department during her 1st and 2nd years and at Brazos Valley Equine in Navasota , TX during her 3rd year. She graduated with her veterinary degree in 2009 and moved to Granbury, TX were she began practicing small animal medicine. She is the proud pet owner of 3 dogs, 2 horses, and 4 head of cattle. For fun she enjoys skiing in the winter, and Steamboat Springs, CO is a favorite but she is always excited to try new places. She also enjoys jackpot barrel racing and you may see her at Lonestar arena on Tuesday nights.
