Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jennifer A. Houck is the owner and full-time veterinarian at Paw Prints Pet Clinic. She obtained her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1989. Her focus is on small animal medicine, surgery, diagnostics and preventative medicine for cats and dogs. She has practiced in a variety of veterinary hospitals in the DFW area over the years and has experienced unique and diverse situations that have broadened her medical and surgical skills. She is committed to helping pets lead a quality of life that is complimentary to their owners' life styles while meeting their individualized health care needs. Dr. Houck began working at Paw Prints Pet Clinic in early 2014 as a relief veterinarian and was delighted to come on board as the full-time veterinarian in October 2014. Dr. Houck is a member of the local, state and national veterinary associations. In order to continue practicing progressive medicine in a rapidly changing medical world she attends continuing education seminars, participates in the Veterinary Information Network and stays up to date with current veterinary journals and online veterinary seminars. She has had the privilege of loving and caring for many personal pets over the years, all with their own unique personalities, quirks and medical needs. Her current furry family includes a lab-pit mix named Axl and two cats- Dashielle and Holly. Holly is an amputee who rules the household and in an inspirational example of living life to the fullest despite her special circumstances . Dr. Houck enjoys reading, quiet time outdoors and yearly trips to Colorado for white water rafting and hiking with friends.
